If you require medical treatment or need assistance during your covered trip, you must contact the Assistance Line at the telephone numbers listed. Please note that toll-free calls from some cell phones or locations cannot be completed. If you are unable to complete a toll free or collect call please call the collect number directly and submit phone charges with your claim for reimbursement.

You must contact the Emergency Assistance Provider before admission to a Hospital as an inpatient and for prior written approval before any expenses are incurred for the following:

Major Diagnostic tests
Dental Work
Surgery
Air Evacuation
Family Transportation
Repatriation / Burial

When Calling the Emergency Assistance Number:

You will be referred to the most appropriate medical provider, and the Company will confirm that a policy has been issued and that coverage for the services rendered is subject to the terms and conditions of this Policy. Where a claim is payable, the Company will arrange, to the extent possible, to have any medical expenses billed directly to the Company.
In the event of an Emergency that requires assistance, medical Treatment or hospitalization, You must contact the Emergency Assistance Provider within the time specified at the telephone numbers indicated above, prior to admission to Hospital or within 24 hours after a life or organ-threatening Emergency, unless You are unconscious or physically unable. As an alternative, someone else such as a family member, Traveling Companion, friend, Hospital or medical staff person may call on Your behalf.
